I love Gaterade

I just ran five miles in the heat and mixed some powdered Gaterade with ice cold water. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm... I drank two glasses... I am now in my second week of half marathon training and other than eating a lot and sleeping really well, things seem to be good. Monday I did an hour of Tae Bo. Tuesday, I worked out in the fitness center during lunch, then went for an easy 3 mile run, and swam for half an hour. Yesterday was a 35 minute bike ride. I'm excited and can't wait til the end of next week when I get to start training with Aaron!

Half Marathon Training

I started training for a half marathon with the local YMCA this past Monday. Tonight was our first "long" run of 3 miles. I ran it at 27 minutes and was the third person to finish which was nice considering I am always the last person at my Saturday morning running group. So, I am thinking I will make the switch since it's nice to actually be 'in' the group rather than coming in 30 minutes after everyone else. Did I mention that the Saturday morning group is all former highschool trackstars. Yeah, I'm not. Anyway...
